Stonington Candidates Night Update

On Tuesday, October 13, Stonington Candidates Forum will be held at the Dragonfly Equestrian Center in Mystic at 6pm. It is presented by the League of Women Voters of Southeastern CT and the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce. To ensure the safety of all participants, this event will now NOT be open to the public and instead will have a self- imposed capacity restriction of 55 people. Tickets have been printed and issued to manage attendance and allow for extreme social distancing. In fairness to all running for office, candidates received 2 tickets each and 6 tickets each were issued to the League of Women’s Voters, Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce, Stonington Republican Town Committee, Stonington Democratic Town Committee which are sponsoring the event. The remaining tickets are being retained for event volunteers, media panelists, the moderator, and owners of the host facility.

Stonington Candidates Forum will be shown LIVE on The Day web site and LIVE on the Ocean Community Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. It will be rebroadcast on SECTV the next day. It will be broadcast live on WBLQ radio. These are the avenues that the public, who do not have one of the limited tickets, can use to access the event.
