This year's One State One Film Series opens with the screening of "The Prison Within" (produced by Katherin Herve) and a virtual discussion panel on Wednesday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m. EDT on Zoom. The film is about healing and breaking the cycle of mass incarceration. The panel discussion will be moderated by Ms. Merle McGee, President and CEO of Everyday Democracy. She will be joined by a powerhouse panel featuring Dr. Amber Kelly, Associate Professor at Quinnipiac University; State Senator Gary Winfield; Troy Williams, Founder of San Quentin's Restorative Justice Roundtable and Restorative Media; and Nicholas Dawidoff, Best-Selling Author and Berlin Prize Fellow of the American Academy.
