Calling all history enthusiasts, Civil War buffs, lovers of flags, and curious learners! Come learn about the Connecticut State Capitol's collection of around 160 historical battle flags – only 86 of which are viewable to the public. The collection includes flags from several different periods ranging from the Civil War to the Gulf War. Matthew Vallier, Historical Flag Preservationist at the Connecticut State Capitol, will present on the incredible history of these flags and the efforts taken to preserve them. Join us February 22nd for this special lecture presented by Connecticut Capitol Information and Tours. This event will take place online via Zoom. Register at the link above.
