Update 3/14/2020 - the Candidates' Forum scheduled for March 24 has been canceled. In keeping with the Senior Center's plans to postpone certain well-attended events, this measure will avoid a gathering of residents who may be at a higher risk of becoming very sick from COVID-19.

Forum Information

The League of Women Voters of New Castle County and the Newark Senior Center are hosting a forum for candidates for Newark City Council on Tuesday March 24, 2020.  All qualified candidates from districts 3 and 5 have been invited to participate. The format is moderated Q&A, with question cards accepted from the audience.

Travis McDermott from district 6 who is running unopposed will be introduced but will not answer questions on-stage. A "Meet and Greet" for all candidates will follow the program.

The forum is free and open to the public.

Video of the entire event will be available on our website (my.lwv.org/delaware/new-castle-county) after the event, and we also plan to livestream on Facebook (at www.facebook.com/LWVNCC) on that evening.
