Ahead of the August 23 primary and Gainesville city elections, the League of Women Voters of Alachua County offers the nonpartisan election resource VOTE411.org. This “one-stop shop” for election information provides voters with simple, accessible tools to help them navigate the voting process. VOTE411 provides personalized candidate information, voter registration details, polling place locations, and other helpful election information for all voters nationwide.

“From local ballot initiatives to important state races, it is crucial voters in Alachua County make their voices heard this election year,” said Janice Garry, LWV of Alachua County President. “VOTE411 is an online election resource that provides voters with the resources they need to make an informed vote in upcoming elections. This year, the LWV of Alachua County has published our voter guide on VOTE411 as a resource for all Alachua County voters.”

All candidates have been given the opportunity to express themselves in this guide on issues important to our community.

VOTE411 helps millions each year — many of them young people and first-time voters — learn more about what’s on their ballot, where candidates stand on the issues, how to find their polling place, and more.

“The League of Women Voters of Alachua County is pleased to provide this important, nonpartisan resource to voters,” according to Diana Boxer and Gwen Wagner, Voter Services Co-chairs LWV of Alachua County. “We encourage voters to visit VOTE411.org to make a voting plan so they are prepared to confidently cast their vote for the August 23 primary and Gainesville city elections!”

Be sure you're ready. Florida’s primary elections and the City of Gainesville Commission elections are on August 23, 2022. The deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration is July 25, 2022.

Recordings of the local primary and city election candidate forums are available on the LWV of Alachua County website.

We also offer a guide to using VOTE411.

Please share this resource with all your family, friends, and neighbors.
