
In our League's service area, primary and general elections for municipal officials, special district officials, and propositions will be occurring April, 2025. A brief description of each county's plans follows. If you need more detail, you should consult your county's election authority. Contact information is found at the bottom of our Vote page.
In the City of St. Louis, the March 4 primary featured choices for Mayor, Comptroller, and the alderpersons serving the odd-numbered wards. City voters should be aware that there is no March primary election contest for alderpersons when there are two or fewer candidates. The League’s vote411.org website showing voting information and the candidates’ responses to our questionnaire is live.
The general municipal election in the City will be held on April 8, and three seats on the St Louis Public Schools Board of Education also will be on the April ballot. The deadline to register to vote in that election has passed. Absentee, in-person, no-excuse voting begins on March 25. On Election Day, you may vote at any polling place in the City.
In St. Louis County, several municipalities and special districts will hold April 8 general municipal elections. Some school districts also have submitted propositions. No-excuse in-person absentee voting will begin March 25 at the Board of Elections office, but satellite locations will not open until March 31. Details will be posted on the Board of Elections website. You can now look up your sample ballot for St. Louis County voters.
In St. Charles County, elections for officials in some municipalities and districts will occur on April 8. In-person no excuse absentee voting at the County Clerk’s office and Element Church will begin two weeks earlier, on March 25. Absentee voting for those with an excuse is already underway.
Jefferson County voters will weigh in on community college board candidates on April 8; some road and ambulance districts also have submitted propositions that will be on the ballot in parts of the county. Absentee voting with an excuse is underway, with the in-person, no-excuse absentee voting starting March 25. Absentee and early voting occurs at the County Clerk’s office.
In Lincoln County, absentee voting with an excuse has begun, in-person no-excuse absentee voting starts on March 25, and in-person Election Day voting will occur on April 8.
Franklin County also will hold general elections on April 8. A list of Franklin County candidates and propositions is available now, as well as general Franklin County voting information. Absentee voting with an excuse is in effect now, with in-person no-excuse voting available on March 25.
Our printed voters guide for the April elections will be published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on March 20. We also distribute copies of the printed guide to some libraries and other locations that have requested them.
