In our League's service area, primary and general elections for municipal officials, special district officials, and propositions will be occurring in March and April, 2025.  A brief description of each county's plans follows.  If you need more detail, you should consult your county's election authority.  Conact information is found at the bottom of our Vote page.

In the City of St. Louis, the March 4 primary will feature choices for Mayor, Comptroller, and the alderpersons serving the odd-numbered wards. City voters should be aware that there is no March primary election contest for alderpersons when there are two or fewer candidates. The Board of Election Commissioners asks that you consider in-person, no-excuse absentee voting, already underway at the election board’s office and these libraries: Buder, Carpenter, Divoll, Kingshighway, Schafly, and Walnut Park. Hours are 11 am-5 pm Mondays, 11 am-5 pm Tuesdays-Thursdays, and 11 am-4:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays. The League’s vote411.org website showing voting information and the candidates’ responses to our questionnaire is now live for the March primary.

Approval voting will result in a general municipal election in the City on April 8, and three seats on the St Louis Public Schools Board of Education will also be on the April ballot.  On either the March or April Election Day, you may vote at any polling place in the City.  Early in-person absentee voting also will be available prior to the April election.

In St. Louis County, several municipalities and special districts will hold April 8 general municipal elections. Some school districts also have submitted propositions. No-excuse in-person absentee voting will begin March 25 at the Board of Elections office, but satellite locations will not open until March 31. Details will be posted on the Board of Elections website. Starting February 25, you will be able to look up your sample ballot for St. Louis County voters.

In St. Charles County, elections for officials in some municipalities and districts will occur on April 8. In-person no excuse absentee voting at the County Clerk’s office and Element Church will begin two weeks earlier, on March 25. Absentee voting for those with an excuse will start February 25.

Jefferson County voters will weigh in on community college board candidates on April 8; some road and ambulance districts also have submitted propositions that will be on the ballot in parts of the county.  Absentee voting with an excuse begins February 25, with the in-person, no-excuse absentee voting starting March 25. Absentee and early voting occurs at the County Clerk’s office.

In Lincoln County, absentee voting will begin on February 25, in-person no-excuse absentee voting starts on March 25, and in-person Election Day voting will occur on April 8.

Franklin County also will hold general elections on April 8. A list of Franklin County candidates and propositions is available now, as well as general Franklin County voting information.  Absentee voting begins February 25, with in-person no-excuse voting available on March 25.

Our printed voters guide for the April elections will be published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on March 23. We also distribute copies of the printed guide to some libraries and other locations that have requested them.
