Why Vote Instagram Reel Contest
If you are at least 18 years old and registered to vote in Missouri (registration information on Missouri Secretary of State website), enter the Why Vote Instagram Reel Contest to let people in the St. Louis area know why voting is so important!
Basic Contest Rules
1. The Prize: $250.00
2. Contest Sponsor: League of Women Voters of Metropolitan St. Louis (“Metro LWV”), 8706 Manchester, MO 63144. SecondVP [at] lwvstl.org, 314-961-6869
3. Who Can Enter: Anyone at least 18 years old as of the date of entry who is a registered Missouri voter (register to vote) and lives in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson or Franklin County.
4. Video Content Requirements:
a. No longer than 90 seconds in length
b. Non-partisan (does not endorse a candidate or issue position)
c. Is not obscene and does not state or imply the approval of Metro LWV
d. Is factually true
e. Does not discriminate or denigrate on the basis of gender, sexual identity, race, creed, religion or physical condition
f. Demonstrates what voting can accomplish and why it is important
5. Contest Deadlines:
a. Submission of Entries on Instagram: 12:00 PM (noon) Central Time on 13 October 2024 through 12:00 PM (noon) Central Time on 20 October 2024 (the “Contest Period”)
b. Submission by Email of Instagram Statistics to the Contest Sponsor for the Contest Period: 23 October 2024
c. Notice to Winner of Contest: 11 November 2024
6. What Determines Who Wins: The winner will be the person whose Instagram Reel has the highest Reach, Engagement Rate, Shares and Saves of Instagram Reels complying with the Contest Rules, in the sole discretion of Metro LWV (the “Winner”).
a. Metro LWV must be tagged on all Why Vote entries uploaded to Reels;
b. Hashtags must include #votemissouri, #lwvmetro and #whyvote
c. Entries must be shared with Metro LWV at https://www.instagram.com/lwvstlouis/
d. Consents: The Winner must provide a written consent from each person seen in the winning video for his or her likeness to be used in the video. (See the consent form.)
7. Winner’s Agreement: Winner must sign the agreement with Metro LWV found at https://my.lwv.org/missouri/metro-st-louis/video-contest-agreement prior to receipt of The Prize. If Winner does not sign the agreement for any reason within 10 days after Metro LWV notifies the Winner, Metro LWV shall award the prize to another contestant.
