Susan Dana will be speaking to the Bozeman League on the legal limits on government regulation of online speech and discuss the constitutionality of various proposals to regulate harmful online speech.

Susan has recently retired from MSU's Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, where she served in numerous roles over her 25 year career, including Associate Professor, Associate Dean, and Interim Dean. She taught a variety of business and law-related courses at MSU, including an Honors College seminar on the First Amendment and free speech. Prior to her academic career she served as an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, DC and as a visiting professor at the University of Montana School of Law She has served on several non-profit boards and is currently Vice Chair of the Board of the Gallatin Valley Land Trust. She holds a B.A. in Classics form Brown University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.
