
GET READY TO VOTE IN THE SEPTEMBER 9TH HELENA CITY PRIMARY & SCHOOL BOND ELECTION!
Ballots will be mailed August 22nd to all active voters to decide which candidates will then be on the November 4th election ballot for Mayor of the City of Helena and two seats on the Helena City Commission. The top two mayoral candidates and top four commissioner candidates will go on to the November general election.
Voters will also decide whether to fund two bonds--high school and elementary--to rebuild two schools: Helena High and Kessler Elementary School and to remodel and upgrade Capital High, PAL (Project for Alternative Learning), and the district's central kitchen.

If you need to update your voter registration OR register to vote:
To register to vote or to update your voter registration visit the Lewis and Clark County Elections Office, open M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm. Late registration begins on August 12th. For this election, you can still register to vote and receive a ballot at the elections office through the Monday morning before Election day from 8:00am to 12:00pm and on Election Day (September 9th) from 7:00am to 8:00pm. The Lewis and Clark County Election Office is at 316 N. Park Avenue, Room 168 in Helena. There will be no polling locations on Election Day.
Important Voter Info about the September 9 Election and how to submit your ballot:
Ballots will be mailed to all active voters on August 22, 2025. This election is an all absentee (mailed) ballot election. There are no polling locations for this election. Mail your completed ballot at least one week before September 9th or drop it off at the Lewis and Clark County Elections Office from August 22nd through September 9 at 316 N Park Avenue, Room 168 in Helena. Your ballot must be in the Elections Office by 8:00pm on September 9th for your vote to count.
Remember to sign and date your ballot envelope, and include your birth year in the space provided on the envelope.
