Come table and enjoy the Main Line Chinese Cultural Center’s Lunar New Year Celebration. The celebration will be held on Sunday, January 26 at Great Valley High School 225 Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, PA from 1 to 5 p.m. This is a free event and will give attendees an opportunity to get voter information from the League of Women Voters.

Join League of Women Voters members as we share voting information at the Lunar New Year Celebration to be held on Saturday, January 25th from Noon to 2 p.m. at the Main Line Art Center, 746 Panmure Rd, Haverford, PA.

The Year of the Snake will be ushered in at the event. There will be hands-on art activities for all ages and an outdoor performance of the iconic Lion Dance by the Philadelphia Suns. The Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy will also provide a martial arts demonstration.

The event is FREE but registration is required.

The League of Women Voters of Delaware County is presenting a three-part program on Running for Local Office in preparation for the 2025 municipal election season. Delaware County Naturalization Ceremony will take place at the Delaware County Courthouse in Media on December 11, 2024 at 7:00 PM. The League of Women Voters of Radnor Township has been invited by the presiding Judge to be present at the naturalization ceremony to give each new citizen a packet of information about voting.

Election Hero Day is a nonpartisan, national celebration recognizing the tremendous contributions that election officials, their staff, and poll workers make to ensure a safe, secure voting experience for all Americans. The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania and League of Women Voters of Delaware County* are hosting a special FREE presentation concerning Restrictive Laws Affecting Asians in the USA: Past, Present, & What’s Coming on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Radnor Memorial Library (Winsor Room), 114 W Wayne Ave., Wayne PA.

The presenter is Texas State Representative Gene Wu (Asian American), who has traveled from Texas to Pennsylvania to share critical insights on this topic. He will discuss the historical and ongoing legal challenges faced by Asian communities in the U.S. and explores how past laws continue to shape the present—and what we may face in the future.

An open discussion and light lunch will follow the presentation.

National Voter Education Week is October 7-11, 2024 a nonpartisan national civic holiday and voter education campaign. During this week of interactive education, voters have the opportunity to find their polling location, understand their ballot, make a plan to vote, and inspire others to get involved. Together, we can help voters overcome common barriers to become confident voters and ambassadors of voting in their own communities for every election.

The League of Women Voters is a partner with National Voter Education Week organizers and our League will have volunteers in a variety of locations throughout Delaware County helping citizens register to vote plus provide voter information about the election process. The League of Women Voters is a trusted messenger in helping people in our community cast their ballots with confidence by participating in National Voter Education Week.
