invite you to our
DEMOCRACY AND WOMEN’S RIGHTS IN AMERICA:
THE FIGHT OVER THE EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENT (ERA)
moderated by Karen Boyea and Ryan Jones
with special guests from the Case Method Institute
Tuesday, November 10th at 7:00-8:30pm (Eastern time US & Canada)
Take part in an engaging community conversation that will have you step into the shoes of women’s rights advocates
as they worked to secure the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA).
Why was the ERA proposed? Why was it controversial?
Would you have voted for or against ratification of the ERA if you were a state legislator at the time?
Participants will discuss and debate these important questions based on their reading of the Harvard Business School case, which will be provided upon registration. We encourage those of all ages in our community – from students to seniors – to join us and recommit to our democratic process through healthy and constructive debate.
Links to reading materials will be sent periodically after registration.
Register now for the event.
