You’re invited to two special events that Braver Angels is hosting during an important and fragile week for our country: first on Election Night, then on Nov. 4 for The Day After national meeting.

First, join us on Election Night for Moments of Peace: Coming Together on Election Night. We will have 15-minute Zoom gatherings, secular and religious, from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am EST on the night of Tuesday, Nov. 3. No matter what happens on Election Night, we will host an array of religious and secular 15-minute gatherings, led by a remarkable group of leaders—from Baptist pastors to Jewish rabbis to Catholic priests to imams, from civic leaders to ordinary citizens, and many more. Each 15-minute gathering will represent the traditions and style (secular or religious) of the presiding leader, creating a rich tapestry of gatherings that reflect America.Gatherings may include readings, stories, a reflection, songs, silence, and in the case of religious gatherings, prayers. But we won’t comment on what’s happening on Election Night. (That’s for the next night; see below.) The goals are to offer comfort and grounding during a stressful evening, and to join with those who want to hold America together. After registering, you will receive two Zoom links—one for religious gatherings, and one for secular gatherings.  Second, join us for The Day After national meeting on the evening of Wednesday, November 4, 8:00-9:30 pm Eastern Time. This will be a gathering to reflect on what will have just happened in the country and to consider how we want to move forward. We’ll hear from Braver Angels leaders on the moment we're in, including from April Lawson, David Blankenhorn and John Wood, Jr.We’ll also hear from a panel of red/blue friends, some of whom who will just have voted for President Trump, others for Vice President Biden.
