All LWV members are invited to participate in our League Education and Advocacy Day (LEAD), presented virtually via Zoom on Saturday, January 23, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. (All registered LWV members will receive the Zoom link two days before the event.)
The panel on "Crossing the Digital Divide" will feature Jim Stritzinger, CEO of Revolution D, Inc., addressing "Technology and Access"; Dr. J. R. Green, Fairfield County Superintendent, on "The Challenge in Rural Districts"; and Sarah Schumacher Gams, 2020 SC Teacher of the Year, on "The Challenge in Teaching and Learning." A Q & A session through Chat will follow.
"Standing in the Doorway," an election wrap-up and 2021 legislative preview, will be presented by Lynn Teague, and there will be updates on redistricting, plutonium pits, DEI, and racial justice.
Full agenda, panelist bios, and more information is on the LWVSC website here.
Since participation is limited to 100, we ask that those registering please plan to attend, and please let us know if your intentions change so that we can admit others. We hope to accommodate all members who wish to attend.
The event will not be recorded.
