Contact your State Representative NOW and urge them to pass SB 5.
The HOUSE is going to consider SB 5 TODAY June 4, and as we write, both parties are caucusing -- likely about an amendment that Speaker Ritter thinks will help the bill pass and that the Senate is likely to accept, even though it has already passed the bill as it is 25-10 on May 25th.
SB 5: An Act Concerning Increased Opportunities for Absentee Voting, Safe and Secure In-Person Voting, Voter Registration and Certain Other Changes Regarding Election Administration
- Providing Permanent Absentee Ballot lock boxes
- Restoring voting rights of community members on parole
- Expanding Automatic Voter Registration to improve access to voting and maintenance of voting rolls, and more.
