Please join the League of Women Voters of Wilton and Wilton Library for this opportunity to learn more about how Wilton works in an in-person session, which is also available on Zoom. Wilton is self-governing. That means neighbors volunteer to manage the boards and commissions that make decisions about our schools, our tax rates and expenditures, and the protection of our natural beauty. But how much do you know about how our town government functions? Join us for an explainer with current members of our four main town boards and commissions - Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, Board of Education, and Planning and Zoning - to find out how Wilton works. This session will be held live and via Zoom so you'll be able to ask questions of the presenters. Please bring any questions you may have about roles, procedures and activities.
Presenters will include:
- Lynne Vanderslice for Board of Selectmen
- Michael Kaelin for Board of Finance
- Debbie Low for Board of Education
- Rick Tomasetti for the Planning and Zoning Commission
Registration required. Please register online or call 203-762-6334. Be sure to specify if you intend to attend the session in person or on Zoom. For more information, contact asato [at] wiltonlibrary.org
