Request a Tour

Guided tours are available at 9:15, 10:15, 11:15, 12:15, and 1:15 Monday through Friday. There are no tours on weekends. The tours begin at the west entrance of the Legislative Office Building located at 300 Capitol Avenue. 

 

Tours do not take place on State and Federal Holidays, the day after Thanksgiving or between Christmas and New Year’s Day. An additional 2:15 tour is available in July and August only.

Please note: Groups of 6 or more are required to book a tour in advance. Please book your tour at least 3 business days in advance. Advance reservations are strongly recommended, especially in the spring and when the legislature is in session, but not required for groups of less than 6. Walk-in visitors will be accommodated to the best of our ability. Tours may be subject to change due to construction or events in the building.

3rd Grade tours are given only when the Legislature is not in Session. See Guidelines. Tours do not take place on State Holidays, the day after Thanksgiving or between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Tour groups are limited to 60 per tour time. If your group consists of more than 60 (including adults and children), additional tour time(s) must be arranged.

Virtual tours via Zoom are also available. Please select whether you would like an in-person or virtual tour when filling out the form. 
 
Self-guided tours of the Museum of Connecticut History, located in the State Library/Supreme Court building directly across the street from the Capitol at 231 Capitol Avenue, can be booked at the same time reservations are made with Capitol Information and Tours.
