Join us for training on how North Carolinians can change their local voting maps to win better representation. Facilitated by leaders from community group Alamance for Good Government and Hilary Harris Klein & Katelin Kaiser from the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, speakers will train attendees in legal and community organizing tactics for changing your local “method of election” from discriminatory “at-large” systems — which marginalize certain voters, predominantly communities of color — to “single-district” systems, which guarantee more responsive elected officials. In North Carolina, the majority of county commissions operate with at-large or residency at-large voting systems. Please share in your networks!
