Hate crimes are exponentially increasing in California. How do we as a community support victims of hate crimes? The State of California Civil Rights Department has developed tools for victims to report hate crimes and receive support.

Becky Monroe from the California Civil Rights Department, Simon O’Connell, Chief Assistant District Attorney, Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, and Walnut Creek Police Chief Jamie Knox will provide timely and important information about how these government agencies are taking action and how victims can utilize their support services. Mary C Taylor, Walnut Creek community activist, will be the webinar moderator.

Sponsors include the League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley, the League of Women Voters of West Contra Costa County, the Contra Costa County Library and CCTV.
