In democracy, our collective voices can send a powerful message but only if we are organized and ready. From the Civil Rights Movement to the crisis facing our democracy today, we must listen for and respond to a moral call to action. Situated in Fairfield County, one of the wealthiest counties in the United States, Bridgeport, which is a majority Black and Brown city, is ground zero for the kind of moral movement organizing Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II has ignited across the nation.
Bridgeport Generation Now welcomes Dr. Barber, the leading voice for justice in our nation, to listen to his powerful message: It will take all of us - workers, women, faith leaders, and people of all races - to unite in the streets and at the ballot box to bring about the social changes we so desperately need.
