Leagues across the country are preparing for a new unified dues structure that takes effect on Feb. 1, 2025. LWVUS has chosen ChapterSpot as the new membership portal using the Stripe payment platform.

When it comes time to renew, you will receive an email reminder from ChapterSpot. Dues will be pay-what-you-can and not a fixed rate. The recommended dues amount will be $75, but members can pay any amount over $20. LWVSTL will get 20 percent for each $75 membership ($15 before payment fees, compared to the $23 we currently get). As the attachment shows, LWVMO will get 47 percent and LWVUS will get 33 percent. 

You will receive information on how to log into ChapterSpot to manage your membership. There will be options to set up an annual renewal using a bank account or credit card and make a separate donation to LWVSTL.

There will no longer be household memberships, but you can pay the same amount for a second person. For example, a current two-person household that pays $105 could pay $45 for each member and make a $15 donation to LWVSTL.
