Leagues across the country have implemented a new unified dues structure. LWVUS chose ChapterSpot as the new membership portal using the Stripe payment platform.
Members already may have received an email from ChapterSpot about setting up an account. They can take advantage of options to set up an annual renewal using a bank account or credit card and make a separate donation to LWVSTL.
When it comes time to renew, ChapterSpot will send you an email reminder. Dues will be pay-what-you-can and not a fixed rate. The recommended dues amount will be $75, but members can pay any amount over $20. LWVSTL will get 20 percent for each $75 membership ($15 before payment fees, compared to the $23 we previously received). As the attachment shows, LWVMO will get 47 percent and LWVUS will get 33 percent.
There will no longer be household memberships, but you can pay the same amount for a second person. For example, a two-person household that paid $105 previously could pay $45 for each member and make a $15 donation to LWVSTL.
