The Housing & Homeless Committee invites you to join us at our meetings. We welcome fresh ideas on how we can support housing initiatives of all types, as well as prevention programs and essential services for our community.

News for August

At our July meeting we learned so much from Gabrielle Vignone, Executive Director of House Farm Workers. This non-profit group advocates for housing for farm workers.

The challenge of having enough workers to pick the county's abundant crops is complicated by the lack of housing. 

Everyone deserves decent housing. Some homes have been built, but hundreds of additional unit units are needed.

Few of the county's farmers are equipped to build housing on their land.
