Join us for this exciting, informative and timely panel discussion on the Challenges to Voting Rights - Then and Now.

The panelists will focus on the history and obstacles the suffragists faced in passing the 19th Amendment, the founding of the League and its commitment to insure the right to vote, the driving force of the SUFFS production to bring this to life on stage, and the threats posed by the upcoming vote in the Senate on the SAVE Act legislation, especially to women.

Panelists will include:
  • LWVUS President Dianna Wynn
  • A member of the production company of the musical SUFFs, which will be performed in San Francisco in October. (See: Join the League at SUFFS in SF!)
  • A key Federal legislator from California (to be announced)

Contra Costa Librarian Alison Peters will moderate the discussion.
