Join us for a discussion with Nick Fischer on the battle for public education
Dr. Nicholas Fischer, an educator who has worked in public education for over 50 years, will trace the history and importance of public education during our First Tuesday Talk on Feb. 3rd in the Blacksburg Library Community Room.
Should government fund public education? What are the current threats to education funding? How are vouchers and tax credits for private education affecting funding for our public schools? These are issues being debated locally and nationwide.
Come join us and bring interested friends to hear Dr. Fischer’s discussion on education issues that will affect education opportunities for our community’s children today and in the future.
