On May 30th, more than 75 Ventura County League members gathered for our Annual Meeting at the Camarillo Senior Center — one of our best-attended yet.
We enjoyed a look back at some of our achievements during the 2025-2026 year: four membership meetings, hundreds of high school students registered to vote, candidate forums for the June primary election, outreach at community events, observers at Board of Supervisors meetings and vote centers, and production of a monthly newsletter, to name a few. We applauded ourselves for a job well done.

The Power of Community
Keynote speaker Vanessa Bechtel, CEO of the Ventura County Community Foundation, inspired us all with her speech about "The Power of Community". Vanessa also expressed her gratitude for LWVVC's work across Ventura County in her VCCF newsletter.
The formal program gave way to a delicious buffet lunch and plenty of lively conversation. We all left with renewed energy and enthusiasm for the coming years.
With gratitude to all our members for their support for the League’s mission and vision for the future, we thank you for the privilege of being your co-presidents this past year.
