• Any contributions in excess of actual expenses will be moved into the Scholarship Fund for the 2026-27 year scholarships at Moorpark, Oxnard, and Ventura community colleges.

What We'll Cover:

• Ballot Measures, Explained — Some of our own members have done the homework on this year's ballot measures and will walk us through the pros and cons. Come with questions — we want everyone to leave ready to talk about these measures with confidence in their own circles!
• Candidate Forums Update — We'll check in on how our September and October candidate forums are going around the county. We need our members' help, and there will be opportunity to sign up.
• Become a Vote Center Observer — Our co-presidents have thrown down a challenge to have at least one LWV member observing at each of the county's 50 vote centers! We will cover everything you need to know to jump in as an observer. We can do this!
