Join us on Zoom for our 2022 Annual Meeting!! Please Register Here  to receive the Zoom link by May 4th at 5:00 pm. On May 5th you will receive the directions for logging into the Zoom.
 
Due to some data showing that Covid cases are rising in Orange County, the board has decided to hold our annual meeting virtually so that everyone can feel comfortable participating. We look forward to seeing your faces on our screens, and we are hopeful that very soon we will all be able to gather safely and comfortably together!! 
 
We will hear from our teams and county units, and the last half hour of our time together will be for catching up with each other.

    • Issues Chosen by LWVODC for Concerted Action
        • Voting Rights
        • Redistricting
        • Voter Education and Outreach
        • Equal Rights Amendment
        • Public Education Advocacy
    • Recommended Actions to Implement Issues
        • County units will establish an Observer Corps to attend meetings of the Board of Elections to monitor pre-election planning and post-election vote certification.  They will also attend meetings of the Board of County Commissioners to monitor local issues. 
        • Participate in LWVNC redistricting advocacy activities
        • LWVODC, Inc. will promote voter education via candidate events, VOTE 411 voter guides (VOTE411.org), and election-related education activities.
        • Partner with community-based organizations to promote voter registration and voting
        • Provide support to LWVNC for the Equal Rights Amendment
        • Continue the Civics 101 education series
        • The Education Team of LWVODC will continue to study education issues.
