Special guest Rob Schofield, editor of NC Newsline, will present "Why North Carolina's Current Political Environment is Unlikely to Last." He has been a journalist for more than 40 years. In addition to overseeing NC Newsline, he writes a weekly opinion column and hosts News and Views, a weekly news magazine podcast airing on many online sites and NC radio stations. Founded in 2004, NC Newsline is a nonpartisan nonprofit news organization known for hard-hitting commentary that addresses injustices and public official accountability, among other topics.

The annual meeting will include a carry-in dinner and the business meeting of ODC, which includes approving the upcoming budget recommendations, slate of officers, proposed program, and bylaws changes. Those items will be sent to all ODC members prior to the annual meeting. Registration is required.
