This half-day symposium will provide an update on reproductive healthcare since the fall of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court's 2022 decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which eliminated the federal constitutional right to abortion. Registration will be available mid-December.

Amy Bryant, MD, MSCR, Division Director, Complex Family Planning, Associate Professor, Complex Family Planning, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Maternal and Child Health of UNC-Chapel Hill's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, will speak. Other speakers include Tara Ramono, Executive Director of Pro-Choice NC and a representative from Planned Parenthood. 

The event focuses on Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs), and the growing  healthcare crisis as legitimate clinics and Medicaid are defunded. (CPCs are becoming the maternal vouchers for healthcare, similar to how  private school vouchers are used to defund public education.) Attendees will be encouraged to take action by contacting state officials to stop state funding of CPCs by writing postcards and signing online petitions.
