The House Judiciary Committee hearing on priority gun safety bills H 5434 Secure Storage and H 5300 Assault Weapons ban is scheduled for Monday, April 17. Written testimony in support of these bills should be sent to: housejudiciary [at] rilegislature.gov. Be sure to include the bill number and "Support" in the subject line, and your name and town in the body of the email. Close your testimony by urging them to bring the bill to the floor for a vote. Also, if you don't want to write a thesis, it is just as effective to say something like "Please SUPPORT Bill # and send it to the floor for a vote." They keep track of the numbers they receive for and against.
