It was a little startling to be notified on Facebook yesterday that the Women's Fund of Rhode Island posted that the League of Women Voters of Rhode Island had been created on October 8, 1920 when we weren't celebrating the date ourselves. Fortunately, thanks to all the research done for the League Centennial, the answer as to why we weren't noting the event ourselves was at hand.
