The League of Women Voters RI (LWVRI) is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, increases understanding of major public policy issues, and influencespublic policy through education and advocacy.

The League's advocacy for the 2026 session of the Rhode Island General Assembly will be guided by the following broad principles: 

Voting Rights/Defending Democracy 

Right to an Equitable Education 

Climate and Environment 

Health Care Equity, Women and Children's Health

Gun Safety
