On National Voter Registration Day, September 19th, RI (Providence) League members participated in registering voters on Kennedy Plaza in Providence.  This was part of a coordinated effort (Common Cause, Brown U., Womxn Project and others) at eight different sites.  At Kennedy Plaza volunteers from these various groups asked almost 80 people they were interested in registering, and helped register 30 people, several who had no permanent address.
