Celebrating Women’s History Month; co-sponsored by Fairfield League of Women Voters and Fairfield Museum and History Center.

Join us for “Making Democracy Work: A Conversation with Denise W. Merrill, Secretary of the State,” a livestreamed virtual  event in celebration of Women’s History Month and the growing number of women in public office. Secretary Merrill will speak on key election issues including protecting the vote, expanding democratic participation, and modernizing Connecticut’s systems. As the Chief Elections Official in the State of Connecticut, Secretary Merrill advocates every legislative session for reforms that expand the right to vote and make that right easier to exercise. This is an opportunity to hear Secretary Merrill speak about her experiences and views on the vital role of the Secretary of the State in ensuring coming elections remain free and fair.
