The Weston League of Women Voters will hold a virtual town hall, “Speak Up,” on Saturday, February 13 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Residents will have an opportunity to ask local officials about government issues and community affairs impacting Weston today.
“Speak Up” will bring the public together with elected town officials, chairs of appointed boards, committees and commissions, town and school officials, and state representatives who will answer questions from the public.
“Speak Up” has been an annual event since 1991. Because of the pandemic, the event will be held remotely, via Zoom, in collaboration with the Town of Weston, which is providing the technology. Laura Smits, vice president of voter services for the League of Women Voters of Connecticut, will be the moderator. Ms. Smits will take questions from the public using Zoom’s Q&A feature and from those calling in to this telephone number, 646- 558-8656.
To join “Speak Up” on Zoom, the public is asked to use the following link, which is also available on the Town of Weston website (www.westonct.gov) calendar.
