Sponsored by LWV Greenwich, WNYC (the New York Public Radio station), and the Greenwich Library, this virtual panel discussion about the impact of women's voting on national and local politics will feature moderator Jami Floyd, former host of All Things Considered, recently promoted to Senior Editor of WNYC's new Race and Justice Unit.   Panelists will include Brigid Bergin,  City Hall and Politics reporter for WNYC,  Denise Merrill, Connecticut's Secretary of State, and Carol Reimers, President of the Connecticut League of Women Voters.  

The League of Women Voters was founded in the same year as the passage of the 19th Amendment.  Since then, women have affected political decision making throughout the country.  The panel will explore the specific impact of women's voting on this year's election and opportunities for expanding that impact both this year and in the years to come. 

There is no charge for this virtual event and it is open to League members and nonmembers.
