To participate in the Connecticut primaries, you must be a registered member of one of the two major parties. Not sure of your party affiliation? Use the state’s Look Up tool: https://portaldir.ct.gov/sots/LookUp.aspx

Attention Unaffiliated Voters!

Unaffiliated voters who have not been enrolled in any party for at least 3 months, may enroll in a political party up to August 4, 2020 by mail (forms can also be dropped off to your Registrar’s office) or by August 10 by noon—in person, at your Registrar’s office.

Attention 17-year-olds!

If you are a U.S. citizen and Connecticut resident who will turn 18 by November 3, 2020, you are eligible to participate in the Presidential Primary. You can register online with a DMV-issued ID at https://voterregistration.ct.gov/OLVR/welcome.do or download the voter registration form, forms are also available at your local library, community center or Registrar of Voters office. Visit https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS for more information about voting in Connecticut.

If you are a member of one party and wish to switch to a different party to participate, you must change parties no later than May 11, 2020 to vote in your new party’s primary.
