The Wilton LWV will join the Wilton Kiwanis on Tuesday September 15th at 12:15 pm for a special virtual presentation by Dr. Gary L. Rose, professor and chair in the department of government at Sacred Heart University.
A political science professor for 40 years, Professor Rose specializes in the field of American politics and has received numerous awards including “Connecticut Professor of the Year” by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. In addition to his teaching, Professor Rose has published twelve books on various subjects, including Connecticut government, the American presidency, constitutional law, and presidential elections. A widely quoted political commentator and scholar, Professor Rose frequently provides political analysis for local, state and national media. His most recent work is titled “HAYWIRE: A Chronology of the 2016 Presidential Contest.” The 800 page volume tracks political turning points from 2013 to the day of the election.
