Sussex LWV Candidate Forums Begin Tonight with County Council District 5

Sussex County voters will have opportunities to meet and size up candidates vying for state and county offices in the November 3rd election, thanks to volunteers from the League of Women Voters of Sussex County DE (LWVSCDE). The League has announced seven candidate forums scheduled during September and October, including Sussex County Council (SCC) Districts 4 and 5 and State Representative Districts (RD) 20, 38, 41, 4, and 14. All forums will take place from 7:00 pm -8:30 pm. The forums will also be livestreamed on the Sussex LWV YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/@leagueofwomenvoterssussex2638.

“We’re urging people to look down the ballot,” said Candidate Forum Chair Lisa Welle Malone. “The candidates elected to these positions will be making decisions that directly affect our everyday lives.”

For most forums, questions can be submitted online up to 2 days prior to the forums and in-person on the day of the forum. The public is encouraged to write their questions in advance of attending the in-person forums.See links below to submit questions in advance.
