Great news! As of May 2019, the League of Women Voters of New Castle County Delaware Inc. has been classified as a 501(c)(3) organization. This means that all donations to us are tax-deductible.
We rely on dues and donations to support our programs. You may donate either through PayPal or by mailing us a check. To donate by check, please make the check out to LWV of NCC DE Inc. and mail it to LWVNCC, PO Box 7224, Wilmington, DE 19803-9995.
If desired, you may donate in honor of (or in memory of) a friend or loved one. To do so, please contact our Office Manager to tell us how the honoree's name should be listed in our VOTER newsletter.
Joann Hasse Memorial Scholarship
The Joann D. Hasse Memorial Scholarship fund was established to honor the memory of our dear friend and mentor who died in the spring of 2023. In her honor, an award will be made to a deserving University of Delaware student in their junior or senior year to help them complete their four-year nursing degree. Joanne Hasse dedicated over fifty years of service to the League. As a registered nurse, she was passionate about health care policy and advocacy initiatives. Joann served as President of the League of Women Voters of Delaware at both the state and county level for multiple terms. This scholarship is a tribute to her outstanding contributions that made a difference in the lives of many.
