The Redding LWV will be hosting candidate debates on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 7-9 pm at the Redding Community Center. This is an in-person event and will be broadcast live through Facebook.
The LWV Greenwich will conduct three (3) debates for this fall’s municipal election. Candidates from both parties for the
Board of Selectmen, Board of Education, and Board of Estimate and Taxation have agreed to participate. All debates will take place in the Town Hall Meeting Room, with limited attendance. Remote viewing will also be provided.
The Fifth District Congressional candidates will debate in a virtual event produced by students at Western Connecticut State University. The live stream will be available on the WCSU website at www.wcsu.edu/live and on YouTube at www.youtube.com/channel/UC4VHdMke9a1wfp2aYuToudw.
Wilton League of Women Voters, the Wilton Library Association, and GOOD Morning Wilton will co-sponsor two Connecticut State legislative candidate debates between Will Haskell (D) and Kim Healy (R/Independent) for Senate District 26 and Stephanie Thomas(D/Working Families) and Patrizia Zucaro(R/Independent) for House District 143.The WLWV is soliciting questions ahead of the debates via email at 2020LWVQs [at] optonline.net.
LWV Fairfield is hosting two consecutive virtual debates for Board of Finance and Board of Education. There is one online registration for both debates.
Doors will open at 6:30, welcome and instructions at 6:45, and debate begins promptly at 7:00. It will be moderated by former LWVNC President Kate Hurlock.
