Adoption of Program Planning Positions for 2024-2025

The following items were recommended by League members who attended the February 2024 program planning meeting and were approved by the membership at the Annual Meeting.  The League’s program planning sets the course for study and action for the next year.

CONTINUE THE CAMPAIGN FOR MAKING DEMOCRACY WORK with a focus on:

• Expanding Voter Access
• Fighting Voter Suppression
• Money in Politics

TRANSPARENCY IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The League believes that democratic government depends upon informed and active participation at all levels of government. Transparency helps protect the public’s right to know and ensure broad public participation in government.

 IMPROVING COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH 

The League believes in equitably meeting basic human needs for all residents of our community, including mental health.
