League members are invited to our Annual Meeting Thursday, May 25, at 7 p.m.!

The Board decided to hold the Annual Meeting via Zoom again this year. Claudia and Tom Dunn have graciously invited us again to their backyard (rain or shine) the Friday before the Annual Meeting, May 19, at 5:30 p.m., so we can see everyone in person. Save the date; invitations are coming soon!

What is the Annual Meeting? It's our local year-end business meeting to elect officers and directors, vote on bylaw changes, and adopt a budget and program of work for the following year. The League's fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30. Local Leagues hold meetings annually.

Will you join us for our Annual Meeting on May 25? We’ll take care of our usual business for the year, and we also have some fun events planned:

• Accepting minutes from last year’s meeting
• Approving the 2023-2024 proposed budget and nominations for the Board and Nominating Committee
• Prioritizing what the Wheaton League will focus on in 2023-2024:
• Affordable Housing
• Education
• Mental Health
• Natural Resources
• Reproductive Health
• Gun Violence Prevention
