The League of Women Voters of the Helena Area (LWVHA), in partnership with AARP Montana and the Helena Area Chamber of Commerce, is hosting Your City, Your Say: Candidate Forum for Helena Mayor and City Commissioners on Tuesday, September 30 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Opportunity Bank Conference Center, 1550 Vandalay Avenue, Helena.

The candidates who won in the September 9 Helena Municipal Primary and are invited to participate are Emily K. Dean and Andy Shirtliff running for Helena mayor, and Haley McKnight, Melinda Reed, and Ben Rigby running for two seats on the city commission. City Commission candidate Shawn White Wolf is not able to attend.

Stewart Davis, well known host of the radio program Cup of Joe on KCAP will moderate the forum.  Helena Civic TV will be present to record and then broadcast the forum. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions.

The Helena Area Chamber of Commerce, AARP Montana and the League of Women Voters of the Helena Area are nonprofit, nonpartisan organizations. The primary purpose of this event is to promote the informed and active participation of citizens in their government. The forum is intended to educate the public, motivate voters to participate in elections, and give voters a chance to hear the views of the candidates. The forum venue can accommodate up to 100 attendees and we hope to fill every seat.

Because seating is limited at the Opportunity Bank Conference Center, the Helena Chamber asks attendees to register at https://HelenaChamber.com.  Refreshments will also be provided.
