Join/Renew the League of Women Voters of Wheaton

Join/Renew uses new ChapterSpot.

We want you to join the League of Women Voters. Everyone is welcome. We serve Carol Stream, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton, and Winfield.

As a member, you will:

have the opportunity to participate in local, state, and national League work
get exclusive civic information you can trust
know that your membership dues add to our grassroots strength and our financial resources.

After February 3, 2025, all members will pay with the National Membership Website ChapterSpot.
Dues will no longer be a fixed rate but will be pay-what-you-can. The recommended dues amount for all members across the country will be $75, but members can pay any amount (minimum $20), including the current dues rate.
The Wheaton League recommends paying the pre-Feb.2025 membership fee of $85 so we can maintain our treasury at the same level.
Under the previous system, LWV of Wheaton pays a fixed rate per member to LWVIL and to LWVUS.
Under the new system, a percentage of dues will go to the state and national League. This means that when you renew, if you would like to make an additional contribution directly to LWV of Wheaton as some members choose to do when they renew, this will need to be separate from choosing a higher dues amount. Members should fill that in as an "Additional Membership Contribution", not as part of your membership fee.
There will no longer be a household membership. Each household member will pay separately or add a second member in the form.

There will still be the option to pay by check for members who do not feel comfortable using the online system. Please write the check out to the League of Women Voters, not the Wheaton LWV, and send it to the treasurer of our local League. (P.O. Box 1158, Wheaton, IL 60187)
