Moderated candidate debates for all contested elections this fall will begin at 7 pm between candidates for State Senate District #36: Alex Kasser, D, and Ryan Fazio, R. This debate will last 45 minutes.
Then, beginning at 7:45, a moderated debate between State Legislative Representatives for Districts 149 (Kathleen Stowe, D, and Kimberly Fiorello, R), District 150 (Hector Arzeno, D, and Harry Arora, R), and District 151 (Stephen Meskers, D, and Joseph Kelly, R) will follow.
The Moderator for both debates will be Kay Maxwell, former President of the Connecticut League of Women Voters and or the League of Women Voters of the USA.
All candidates will be socially distanced and located in the Greenwich Town Hall Meeting Room, by special arrangement with the First Selectman, Fred Camillo.
This is a virtual event, open to the anyone who registers. Registrants will be forwarded a Zoom link, a link to the event will be sent to all registrants by 12 noon on October 7. Those not receiving a link by that time should email Aya DeSimone at communications [at] lwvgreenwich.org.
The debates will be conducted in Cumulative Time format, which means that all candidates will have an equal amount of time to speak. LWV Greenwich timers will keep track of time used. Questions are submitted by the public and reviewed by one Democrat and one Republican League member to ensure that both candidates may answer the question involved.
Registration is required
