It's a strange election year to be sure, in the midst of a global pandemic and concerns about the integrity of mail-in election ballots. Join us with representatives from the League of Women Voters to have all your election questions answered.
Community members may be uncertain about their registration deadlines, when to mail in their ballots, what safety precautious will be taken at the polls on Election Day, or where to go to find accurate information about local issues and elections. Ensuring voters are aware of these and other issues is crucial for a functioning electoral process.
Laura Smits, Vice President of Voter Services for the state, will provide a presentation on these and other voting issues, and then answer questions participants may have about voting this year. Irene Weiss, President of Voter Services for the Southeastern CT chapter of the LWV, will also be present to talk about local issues, voter registration initiatives, and how to get involved.
