Curious about the anti-trans legislation present in this past legislative session in Montana? Your questions will be answered! Paxton will discuss all of the anti-trans legislation, go over where each of those bills are now, other anti-trans legislation in the country and how this legislation is affecting the day to day lives of transgender individuals within our country.
Bio:
Paxton began facilitating safe spaces for queer liberation and giving ally trainings during his undergraduate career. After completing his Bachelor’s of Political Science at Mercyhurst University, Paxton moved to Montana, where he completed two years of AmeriCorps VISTA. Paxton now sits as the Program Coordinator for the Montana Gender Alliance. In this capacity, Paxton gives ally trainings and facilitates several support groups for transgender folks and their loved ones. He is dedicated to the realization of transgender liberation, the abolition of capitalism, demolishing systems of oppression, and honoring the transwomen of color who began this fight decades ago. In his spare time he is most likely cooking or napping with his dog, Scoby.
