OUR NEXT MEETING SHOULD BE :

THURSDAY, FEB 6 @ 1 P.M. (IF the majority of attending members select  this date.)

 

A good time was had by all yesterday! The theme was "Happiness and Being Upbeat" and we were!

Some snow flurries but the sun was shining on a beautiful New Year.

Well, at least it was in RI!

 

Once more we have to decide on the date of the month to have our meetings and majority rules! For various reasons some can make it on the first Thursday. Others the second or third. PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR NEW YEAR CALENDAR AND SEE WHAT THURSDAYS WORK BEST FOR YOU !  Majority wins! 

 

We have a house/hostess and so many great members so we will work this out.

 

 

CONTINUING WITH OUR THEME OF AVOIDING POLITICS FOR READING IF WE CAN-detective novels are the word for Feb.! 

 

While thinking of books, please start a list of authors you would like to have to a dinner party and why! 6 people is the limit of the event and you must tell WHY you invited them. We have months to share our selections and until the end of the year for all to share.(They can be dead or alive!)  DREAM BIG!  AND WE COULD HAVE AN ACTUAL 

DINNER PARTY, or not!

 

I am working on Sat. March 8th, International Women's Day and will let you know what is possible. Carolyn also has some ideas and when she is back in town we will explore ideas. All suggestions welcomed!

 

If anyone  remembers reading any books by Natasha Preston let me know and why did you like/or dislike them.
