The League of Women Voters of Rhode Island and East Bay Media Group will co-host a candidates’ forum for General Assembly House district 65 and for East Providence City Council Ward 1. Doors open at 5:30 and the debate begins at 6:00 p.m.

The candidates for House District 65 Matthew Dawson, Cameron St. Germain, and Grant Wosencroft, will debate at 6 p.m. and the City Council Ward 1 candidates Jonathan Jacobs, Frank Rego and Bethany White follow around 7:30. Richard Stanley did not reply to the invitation.
We encourage the public to attend and submit written questions before the debate begins.
No campaign signs, apparel, hats, buttons or other materials may be brought into the City Council chamber.
For those who are not able to attend, the forum will be livestreamed, and a link to the recording will be available on the League of Women Voters website at www.lwvri.org through the election on September 9.
The public may also submit questions for the candidates.
